Week 5 Post 2

The Student Success application is an innovative new app that allows students to meet and engage with each other, with the goal of students being able to meet, support and create opportunities for one another. Just picture how cool it would be to find someone who has the same major, transfer destination, or career interest as you with a simple click of a button. You simply click on certain filters and fill out a quick description about your achievements/goals and you set to go. By making these connections from early on not only do you meet people that can present you with new opportunities but also a personalized input on what to expect and how to succeed in anything from a class, internship or the college journey, in general. Through extensive scientific research, Student Success has come up a much more effective combination of setting and filters that will allow students to meet others who are just as passionate about matching career aspirations. This is the ultimate form or connec

Subway vs Hungry Bear:  The websites are very different because both restaurants try to go for a slightly different experience. Subway’s website is much more sophisticated and has a very cool design. Subways website is just like that of most big name fast food places, it promotes its new items, special and shows you their exquisite food that you can get anytime. While Hungry Bear’s website might not be as sophisticated, they still have a pretty smooth design that draws you into their food and makes you think that it is a much higher quality restaurant. Hungry bear does not go for that daily meal, instead they go for that special occasion and you can see through their website and choice of words. My Business:  My business is called Student Success and it is a product that if I had the opportunity to capitalize on, I would totally do it. It is not a thing yet, but I would like to make it one day. Student Success is a program that is used to help students decide what career they

Website 1: Transfermarkt.com - https://www.transfermarkt.com/ Website 2: Goal.com - https://www.goal.com/en-us The website that I use the most is called Transfermarkt.com. Transfermkt.com is a soccer website that announces the most recent soccer transfer, rumors, player market values and so much more. I really like them because every minute they are updating their website. Soccer transfers happen very quickly and they keep me posted. Instead of having to go to one website for soccer highlights, another for soccer transfers and another for soccer rumors, I just go to Transfermarkt.com. I really like Transfermarkt.com because they are up to date and because they have it all. The second website that I use the most is Goal.com. Goal.com, as the name indicates, is also a major soccer website. I really like them because they are up to date by the second. The only thing that I use them for is seeing who is winning a specific soccer game because they are the fastest to notify me. Other

Website 1: http://jamilin.com/ (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. Jamilins website is not the best out there to say the least. The website is not very appealing, the information is overwhelming, it does not even give you a central, cohesive idea of what the website is even about. All of these problems make the website one that needs a large amount of improvement. To improve on the appealing problem, it would be better to use a better template with pictures of a better quality and to use fonts that are uniform. To not make it overwhelming, it might be better to just focus on three key points, that way the three get a lot more attention as opposed to all one hundred things I could click on. The third problem is that it is not cohesive. The viewer should look at the website and within a second be able to determine what it is that the website is about, that is not the case here. There needs to be a big title and the middle with pictures as opposed to a bunch of writ

Chick-fil-a posts or uploads something pretty much everyday, which makes sense since they don't want their audience to completely forget about them. Business#2: Costco 1. Costco 2. https://www.costco.com / 3. https://www.instagram.com/costco/?hl=en 4. Posts twice weekly 5. 3/10/19 6. Costco is probably the least active out of my list, they only post once a week. I think this is ok given that they are not a fast food place or something. Business#3: Aldi 1. Aldi 2. https://www.aldi.us/en/ 3. https://www.instagram.com/aldiusa/?hl=en 4. Posts daily 5. 3/11/19 5. I was somewhat surprised to realize that Aldi actually posts or uploads something everyday. Business#4: Trader Joe's 1. Week 3 Part 1:

I have only really ever contacted a company once and that was when one time my little brother bought a very expensive plane (one of those with a controller that flies very high) and it broke down after a couple of days. Luckily, it came with a 90 day guarantee and i called them and emailed them and they responded with “you have to talk to the store” and we talked to the store and they said “you have to talk to the manufacturer”, which was really annoying. Honestly, I do think that social media does make it easier to get problem solved because social media makes everything be much more transparent, good and bad things. It makes the defects of certain products public, forcing the manufacture to fix them or let the company suffer from public opinion. I have never had a positive experience communicating with a business through social media. If I were to have my own business, I would address their concerns and have a really cool policy such has “if its damaged, we’ll fix it or we’ll give y

Week 2 Part 1

For me, Instagram is the social media platform that I consider the most personal. I use it to post pictures, share memes with friends and message other people. I really like Instagram, it is my favorite and it's the favorite of many of my friends as well. Instagram is very clever for business. I remember buying a product from Instagram after just a couple of clicks, that’s super cool! I really like how smooth Instagram has been for business, it literally puts in all your info after you click on the ad. Many people would probably look and would still be hesitant and once they are putting down all their info, they still have time to pull out of the deal. But now, they cant. That's pretty smooth, at least that's what I think! I think that Instagram works very well. In fact, it is too good to the point where it becomes addicting. I probably spend around 15-20 hours just scrolling through Instagram alone. I think who ever has been updating Instagram is doing a very good j
